Welcome to Sahara Bed & Breakfast lodge, located in a lovely heritage-style brick guesthouse in Dunedin city and only a short distance from Otago Museum, main shopping area, Botanic gardens, University of Otago and Hospital plus restaurants and other visitor attractions.
Our very affordable 3 star Bed and Breakfast Guesthouse is perfect for travellers seeking comfortable, clean and safe accommodation close to Dunedin attractions, activities and shops. The Guesthouse has been recently refurbished and offers an opportunity to stay in one of Dunedins Heritage listed houses.
Guests have a choice of bedrooms with private ensuite or shared bathroom facilities, as well as room layouts to suit families, singles, groups or couples. The guest loungeroom has tea/ coffee making facilities along with a fridge and microwave. Also in the guest lounge is a TV with 50 channels SKY . For guests that enjoy bed and breakfast accommodation, a delicious continental buffet style breakfast is served in the dining room between 7.30am – 9.00am
FACILITIES
Shared facilities within the B & B style guesthouse are designed for guests to be able to relax and mingle during breakfast in the morning, or enjoy an evening chat or game of cards in the shared living room. The living area also has comfortable chairs and a television with Sky TV (Cable); plus a small library of books. Guests also have access to the shared laundry and Internet wi-fi hot spots.
As a member of New Zealand’s Federation of Bed & Breakfast Hotels Inc, at Sahara Guesthouse we are dedicated to customer service and comfort, which is why our friendly staff are always happy to assist you where possible. Our Reception desk is open from 7.30am – 9pm daily where you can get information on local activities and attractions, a city map or visitor guide, or just pick our brains for some great Otago locations to visit. We are also happy to provide ‘wake up calls’ by prior arrangement.

We have four rooms with private ensuite facilities and six guest rooms with shared bathroom facilities. All bedrooms are non-smoking and feature handbasin, wi-fi Internet access, clean linens, electric blankets.
